Before you get started:
Ensure your students have been added to your class. You can add students individually or as a bulk-upload.
Step 1: Go to the For Education homepage and click 'Log in as a student'
Ask your students to visit the For Education homepage and click 'Log in as a student'.
Please note: you can share a direct link to a project or class with students as an alternative way to get them to the right place faster.
Step 2: Enter your school code
The school login code can be found by teachers, on the school dashboard page. To see it, the teacher must be logged in. The login code is usually six digits.
The student must enter the school code provided by the teacher.
Step 3: Enter your username and password
The username and password is also provided by the teacher. These details can be found on the school members page.
Please note:
- the 'Log in with google' option will not work yet. This functionality will be live once we have finished our work integrating with Google Classroom (date TBC).
- we are improving the design for this flow all the time. What you see in the live product may differ from what you see in the images above.
Step 4: If it's the first time you have logged in as a student, reset your password
You will be prompted to change your password if it is the first time the student has logged in. If you forget your password, it can be reset by a teacher.
Step 5: Navigate to your class
Once logged in as a student, students will be able to see their classes. If they click into the class they will be able to see their project work.
If they cannot see their class, they have not been added to a class. Follow this guide to add students to a class.
Students cannot see other student's work. Student's cannot see what teachers can see in the platform.
